Responsible Gambling at The Vic Casino
Keeping gambling in perspective
This guide explains the safer gambling tools The Vic Casino provides. These pages do not change account settings or set limits; you set them in your The Vic account. If gambling is affecting your finances, relationships or daily responsibilities, consider stopping and seeking support. The Vic advises against gambling with money needed for ongoing financial support.
Tools available at The Vic
| Tool | What The Vic describes | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Net Deposit Loss Limit | Caps deposits minus withdrawals; the limit is shared across specified partner sites. | My Limits in the cashier |
| Game-session reminder | Appears at a chosen interval of 15 minutes to one hour during individual real-money game sessions. | Responsible Gaming in My Account Settings |
| Take a Break | Locks The Vic account for 24 hours to six weeks. | Responsible Gaming in My Account Settings |
| Self-exclusion | Closes access for a selected period of six months to five years. | Responsible Gaming in My Account Settings |
The Vic calculates net deposit loss by subtracting withdrawals from deposits: a £20 deposit followed by a £15 withdrawal leaves £5 of net deposit loss. Its responsible-gaming page offers daily, weekly and monthly limit choices, but also describes a cross-site block lasting until a reset the next month. Those statements do not clearly explain when a daily or weekly cross-site block resets. Check the limit shown in your account or ask The Vic Customer Support before relying on a reset time.
Session reminders apply to each real-money game session, from opening a game until closing it or losing the server connection. A frequency change made mid-session takes effect in the next session. Choosing the reminder option to continue without further interruptions sets future sessions to no reminders.
Breaks and self-exclusion are different
A Take a Break period cannot be ended early. According to The Vic's responsible-gaming page, it locks only the player's The Vic account; accounts at sister sites and other providers are unaffected. Access can resume when the chosen period ends.
Self-exclusion is the longer option. The Vic says it prevents reopening during the selected period and prohibits attempts to open another account. Its terms describe exclusion across its websites and associated apps; its responsible-gaming page also describes coverage of other accounts operated by RDGA, without defining that abbreviation. Ask The Vic Customer Support if you need to confirm which accounts are covered. Consider excluding separately from other operators where you hold accounts.
The Vic says that on self-exclusion it returns remaining cash by bank transfer or another payment route if needed, while bonuses, loyalty points and promotion opt-ins are forfeited and are not restored if the account later reopens. After the exclusion ends, a player may request reopening through The Vic Customer Support; reopening is not automatic. The Vic says its Safer Gambling team will contact the player within three working days and request a questionnaire to assess the request.
The Vic aims to suppress its marketing during self-exclusion, but says material from an already launched campaign may still arrive for up to 21 days after account closure. Unfollowing gambling accounts on social media may reduce exposure. Do not try to bypass an exclusion by changing registration details.
Help beyond an account setting
GAMSTOP is a free self-exclusion service for online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain. The Vic notes that a GAMSTOP exclusion may take several days to become active on its services and that matching depends on accurate, consistent registration details. Information and registration are available at GAMSTOP.
For gambling-related help, GamCare lists support and can be reached on 0808 8020 133. The Vic also points readers to Gambling Therapy, Gamblers Anonymous and the National Problem Gambling Clinic. For help with a The Vic account or its tools, contact The Vic Customer Support directly. Account changes and exclusions must be requested through the operator’s own support channels.
